     Nieuwendijk are going to visit Israel from May 17-30. 4X/PA7DA and
     4X/PA9LUC will be QRV on 10m, 6m and 2m from Nes Ammim (KM72nx) during
     the first week and from Rishon LeZion (KM71jw) in the second week.

     Members of the Djelfa Radio Club (7X2VFK) are activating the special
     event station 7U50ND from the 4th International HAM radio meeting in
     Djelfa from May 20-26 celebrating the 50th anniversary of Algerian
     independence and the 20th jubilee of their club.

9N, NEPAL
     This year, about 20 Nepalis obtained an amateur radio license and
     a repeater has been installed in Kathmandu. So far the following

     Vladimir,UA4WHX, who just went QRT as JY8VB has been spotted as E40VB
     on 12m meanwhile. More details of the stay are not known as always.

FK, FRENCH NEW CALEDONIA, OC-032
     Jacky,ZL3CW, is working as TX5CW from Noumea (OC-032) until May 29.

HA, HUNGARY
     Zoli,HA1ZH, is active in all modes and on all bands using the special
     callsign until Dec 31 on the occasion of his 50th jubilee as a HAM.

     The special event station 8N1TDU is active from the "Tokyo Denki

     The JARL club in Abashiri was renamed to Okhotsk which is marked on air

     National Abilympics" competition 2012 in Nagano until Oct 31.

ON, BELGIUM
     A few members of the UBA section ODE will be active from the castle
     De Ghellinck (BCA ref. OV-032, WCA ref. ON-00364, Loc JO10st) in the
     Oost Vlaanderen province from May 18,1400 UTC, until May 20,1400 UTC.
     Listen for OT7G/p in SSB and CW on all HF bands and in FM on 2m or

P4, ARUBA, SA-036
     Michal,P4/OK7MT, Vit,P4/OK5MM, and Petr,P4/OK2PP, announced to be
     active from Aruba (SA-036) from May 17-31. They will sign P40H in the
     upcoming WPX CW Contest (May 26-27). QSLs via OK7MT, LoTW.

SP, POLAND
     The special event station SN750K marks the 750th anniversary of the
     city of Krzesnica. OPs will be Weronika,SQ1KSL, from May 18 until Jun 8
     and Slawek,SQ1KSM, between June 9 and July 2. QSL via bureau.

UT, UKRAINE
     The special callsign EM100RU celebrates 100 years of amateur radio in
     the Ukraine until May 31. They have issued also special awards.

VE, CANADA
     Members of the Manotick Amateur Radio Group (VE3RIX) will be QRV from
     the Fort Wellington National Historic Site (WCA SU-00215) in Prescott/
     Ontario using the special call VX3W on May 19, 1400-2000 UTC.
     They will choose their operating modes and bands depending on the

VU, INDIA
     Manju,VU2SMS, is active as AU50GOA 40m/20m/15m/10m from Goa until
     May 31, which could be of interest not only for the WPX hunters.

     In the last week of May, Connie,NR4CB, will start her 6000 mile trip
     which will lead her through 23 US states, Washington DC, 2 Canadian
     provinces and many counties until the second week of August. She is
     working with a Kenwood TS480SAT and Opek HVT-400B antenna from 80m-6m.

XX9, MACAU, AS-075
     The ADX Group members EA5BZ, EA5CEE, EA6DD, EB5BBM, F5VLY, EA1ACP,
     EA5FX, EA7FTR and EB7DX plan to show up as XX9E with at least three
     stations in CW, SSB and RTTY on 6-160m from Coloane Island (AS-075,
     Loc OL62sc) from May 17-23. Following frequencies were announced:
        CW: 1823, 3523, 7023, 10103, 14023, 18073, 21023, 24893, 28023 kHz

     Alejandra,YY5AA, and Laura,YY5OLA) will be QRV in SSB/CW/digital modes
     signing YW5YL from Isla la Playita from May 18-20. QSL via YV5AJ.

SJ9WL/LG5LG, MOROKULIEN
     Ron,DL6AUK, and Sven,DJ2AT, are going to visit the peace monument
     "Morokulien" from May 22-31. Both calls, LG5LG and SJ9WL, will be used
     changing daily in CW/SSB/digital modes on 160-6m (mainly on 40m/20m).
     During the last two days they will work in QRP only on 80m/40m/30m/20m.

FOLLOW THE TORCH AWARD
     The "Worked All Britain Awards Group" supports a special award on the
     occasion of the Olympic torch relay through Greeat Britain. The torch
     relay will take place from Lands End through the whole United Kingdom
     to the Olympic Park in London between May 19 and July 27. The WAB calls
     G4WAB and G7WAB are following the torch using the prefixes GX, GT, GN,

DX RUMOURS: The DXpedition to Clipperton Island indicated in the last DXNL
     seems to take place actually. The date is scheduled for March 2013 and

DXCC FIELD CHECKERS: All Field Checkers may now check also QSL cards of
     deleted DXCCs. The only restrictions left are for the 160m band.

SILENT KEY: Lawrence A. Gandy,AH8LG, passed away on May 8 at the age of 80.
     The president of the American Samoa Amateur Radio Association (ASARA)
     was an active DXer and supported many DXpeditions to the South Pacific.
     Xavier Paradel,EA3ALV, died on May 12. He was director of the Spanish
     edition of "CQ Radio Amateur".
     Our condolences and sympathy are with their families and friends.
     We do not want to be sad that we lost them, but grateful that we could
     get to know them as a radio friend. We will always keep them in memory.

     from Gran Canaria (Loc IL28FC) during the ITU day from May 17-20.

EU-008, GM/MM, Inner Hebrides: A mini DXpedition leads Glyn,GW0ANA, to
     Gigha Island (IOSA NH24, SCOTIA CS23) where he will sign GM0ANA in SSB,
     CW, RTTY, PSK and SSTV from May 21-27. QSL via GW0ANA (bureau/direct).

EU-009, GM/MM, Orkney: Andre,GM3VLB, is making a tour to the Orkney Islands
     to activate the last five islands of the EU-009 group himself. Thus he
     would have visited and activated all 200 islands. His trip will start
     on May 21 and is scheduled to last until Jun 7 but an extension may be
     possible. The five "last" islands are
        Muckle Green Holm (IOSA OR32, SCOTIA OI20),
        Linga Holm (IOSA OR31, SCOTIA OI21),
        Eynhallow (IOSA OR24, SCOTIA OI24),
        Faray (IOSA OR23, SCOTIA OI28) and
        Calf of Eday (IOSA OR29, SCOTIA OI29)
     The visit depends on the weather conditions since access to the island
     is not always easy. He will sign GM3VLB/p and is on his own.

     from May 19-25. Chausey is a group of small islands at the coast of

OC-199, VK6, Western Australia State (NW Coast) Centre group: Wally,VK6YS/p,
     will show up from West Lewis Island mainly in SSB on on 40m-10m from
     May 19-21. QSLs only direct or eQSL via homecall.

US Island FL-488: A group of local HAMs (including KD4MZM and K4FLV) of
     the Sarasota-Venice Iceland Activation Group is taking a day trip to
     Venetian Waterway Park (not IOTA, USi FL-488). They plan to work for
     4-6 hours in SSB on 7250, 21350, 28450 and 14250-14260 kHz, in PSK31
     on 14070 kHz and on the usual CW frequencies on May 19.
